Doug Beck

Today is Doug Beck’s last day at Powerhouse Animation Studios, Inc..

For over 11 years, Doug has been a shining example of what it means to be a good employee, animator, director, partner, and all around human being. He will be leaving a hole at Powerhouse that probably will never quite be re-filled.

It is hard to imagine Powerhouse without Doug’s leadership; or leading at Powerhouse without Doug’s counsel.

Always softspoken, Doug lead by example and character. Doug always put doing the right thing first and acted in a way that put others before him to make sure we succeeded as a group. In a world that often seems to have gone mad, we could just look to Doug’s office to remember that there was still some sanity left.

We are losing Doug to mission work in the Dominican Republic, where he will be working with children and passing these qualities and skills on to others. We are grateful for the time Doug spent with us and what he has taught us. We hope that we can keep him as an example, till we see him again-- hopefully soon.
