Sony's DC Universe Online that our animation studio created cinematic motion-comics for, went live this morning. Go out and get yourself a copy and look for us in the game! You might just find a "Powerhouse" running the streets of Gotham or a "Captain Capitalism" protecting the citizens of Metropolis.
This project was a blast to work on. We want to thank Mike Daubert and the rest of the crew at SOE Austin for giving us the chance to work on the game.
The goal was to create cinematic motion-comics unlike any seen before, and we are proud of what we accomplished. Special thanks here at Powerhouse goes to Sam Deats, Adam Deats, Adam Conarroe, Jesse Pyles, Sam Lotfi, Chris Beaver, and Ed Booth.
We, of course, can't show all of the work we did. It would spoil the game's storyline, and you dont want us to do that. But here are a few examples that don't spoil anything and will hopefully whet your appetite:
Green Lantern:
There are a few that other folks have put on youtube, but we highly recommend finding them in the game in the context of the story.
Congrats to the team at SOE! We are already hard at work on the the next series of cinemas...so make sure you come into the world of DC Universe Online and stay for a while!
Those are impressive! A friend of mine told me to check out the motion comics and now you guys posted it here. They're so engaging it feels just like watching full animation. Love 'em!
